It’s 1986, Pacific Northwest, USA. It’s the new world, like it or lump it, after the Cold War turned hot and left society in shambles. Politicians and infrastructure leaders are focused on the larger problems: power, water, medicine, etc., while survivors from the cities have banded together to create some semblance of normalcy. It’s been a few years since the bombs dropped, so we’re somewhere between absolute chaos and more-or-less regular life. Major concerns are: scarcity of food, water, and energy sources. For the sake of clarity and brevity, pop culture continued as usual, so the same fashion and music trends are valid here.

Welcome to Phoenix Ridge High School’s Homecoming Dance! The factions come together to celebrate the beginning of the new school year and the third anniversary of the school itself. Principal Heckfire and Vice-principal Pummel are concerned about the rising tensions between the cliques in the student body. They hope that tonight’s dance will stay a neutral territory for the kids to blow off some steam and have fun.

Who will be crowned Homecoming King and Queen? Who will win the Dance-Off? With so many strong personalities, there’s sure to be some drama, and something sinister perhaps?
